The Mutton Button has 8 rooms available for its guests. 6 are available in the main building, and 2 are available in another.
Set on a hill of the same name, so-called by the British during their occupation, the Mutton Button offers clean and comfy rooms. All have AC, ceiling fan and other facilities such as television, free wifi and private attached bathrooms with hot water shower facilities.
Some of the rooms have balconies with outstanding views.
The rooms are provided on a bed and breakfast basis. Not withstanding you can also order other meals from their extensive menu in the restaurant.
If you don’t mind the location, being out of Kandy Town, this place is good for resting and relaxing in a quiet leafy area.

The rooms offer clean comfortable beds with white bed linen, free wifi, a luggage rack, dressing table with mirror and air conditioning.
There are kettles in all rooms thereby enabling guests to make their own cup of tea or coffee.

There are five rooms. Four of these are strictly twin rooms in that they consist of two single beds, but in fact could be treated as doubles in that the beds are placed together. They can be separated if you wish. The fifth room is a four poster double bed.
All rooms have mosquito nets, celing fans but no AC.
Each room also has its own private bathroom with toilet, douche, washbasin and hot water shower facility.
Madugalle makes her own jams without preservatives, which you will be able to taste at breakfast time. Breafast is included in the price. She can also make rotis for you, if you wish. Though she does not provide lunch, she is able to make dinner for you. For this she charges 800 rupees per person,
The rooms are on the first floor and the common area is full of plants. Downstairs is the drawing room whch is filled with antiques and photos.
Madugalle is a friendly lady, a wonderful host, who takes pride in her past history from one generation to the the next. She runs a peaceful homestay, and is at hand to help you with your requests.

Excellent reviews: I cannot speak highly enough of ‘Lievi’. He and his staff made me feel extremely welcome and he very generously took me and the two girls I had met on the train, to the village hall to join the locals in their Vesak celebrations. A real privilege. The breakfast was very good. Each room has its own table directly outside the room and overlooking the pretty garden.
The Greendale is situated in the lovely village of Watawala which is 7km from Hatton and is on virtually the half way point between Adams Peak and Nuwara Eliya.
