What the Sun Ray Lake Residence does not have -ie: AC, hot water, wifi - is made up by what it does have - a roof top with amazing views over Thissa Wewa, a friendly host and a dog called Brains.

 

Your host is a delightful cheerful lady called Rita. She is accompanied by her dog, Brains, who is less helpful. Rita speaks little English but you will find that you can communicate well with her. Brains speaks dog language. They will do their very best to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

The price does not include breakfast however this can be provided for 250 rupees per person. Ask for it to be served from the roof terrace, and enjoy your meal overlooking the lake.

Being on the south part of Thissa Wewa, it is within 10 minutes tuktuk ride of the Anuradhapura ruins, and within 10 minutes of Anuradhapura town. There is also a luxury hotel nearby called Heritage Hotel. It is 35 mins to Mihintale Rock to the east, and 35 mins to Wilpaththu National Park to the west. The Wessa Giriya ruins are only 5 mins away.
