Rukmali Hotel is about 2 kms from Habarana in the direction of Polonnaruwa.
Habarana is on the route direct from Trincomalee to Dambulla. The bus stops at the Habarana junction for travellers who want to go to Sigiriya. Whilst going to Sigiriya would involve catching two buses, taking a tuktuk is shorter and quicker as they use back roads not practical for bus transport.
The Rukmali Hotel is 17 kms from Sigiriya, 19 kms from Dambulla, 52 kms to Polonnaruwa and 83 kms to Trincomalee. Habarana is used as base to visit these other places as it is more or less in the centre of this cultural triangle. Minneriya National Park is also closeby.
